The Cabin — Branding + Identity + Poster Design

The Cabin
Branding, identity and interior
The Cabin is a serene Tyrolean holiday home that offers a taste of slow living in an alpine forest neighbourhood with a huge assortment of outdoor activities nearby. It is located close to the major tourist town of Seefeld in Tirol, and just slightly off the beaten path.
The interior design studio Dear Udo imagined a modern, minimalist recreational retreat with the feel and warmth of a traditional Tyrolean alpine cabin. They wanted to create a calm and open space that encourages guests to slow down and relax, refocus on the essentials and reconnect with nature. With the harmony of the surrounding mountains and forests in mind, they built a minimalist retreat with local materials and construction techniques to establish a dialogue between contemporary design and alpine nature.

The Cabin’s identity reflects both its minimalist essence and its natural surrounding: a clear-cut, precise, reduced mark, a clear layout structure, a considered, uncluttered space and the proportional sans-serif typeface Space Grotesk are combined with a warm colour system inspired by the alpine scenery.
Inspired by the work of the Tyrolean graphic designer Arthur Zelger, I designed and illustrated a series of custom posters for the interior.
